BRIDGING THE DIGITAL SKILLS AND LITERACY GAP
Bangladesh has embarked on ambitious plans to grow its digital economy as part of the government’s Vision 2021.
In 2018, in collaboration with the GSMA, Banglalink trained more than 120,000 people to use digital services at sales and service points.
Three thousand two hundred Banglalink sales executives trained customers on common digital services such as Google, Facebook, Wikipedia and YouTube in addition to Banglalink’s e-selfcare platform. Banglalink also partnered with the GSMA to share learning materials and localised them to match customer profiles.
