Ahmet recently joined VEON as Chief Payments and Digital Assets Officer. In this role, he leads the group's digital financial services and digital assets strategy, building scalable platforms and partnerships at the intersection of telecom, fintech, cross-border payments, and digital assets.

Ahmet brings two decades of experience as an entrepreneur, executive, and board director across technology, fintech, and data platforms in the Middle East, Turkiye and South Asia.

Prior to VEON, he served as Head of International and Board Member at DGPAYS, where he scaled the international business. In 2024, he led the acquisition of a 65% stake in NEOPAY — Mashreq Bank's former payments arm — where he served as an Executive Director following the acquisition.

Previously, he founded a pioneering property-data and analytics platform and co-founded a leading online property marketplace in his native Turkiye.
