Form 12b-25: VimpelCom files to delay form 20-F 2013
Amsterdam (May 1, 2014) - “VimpelCom Ltd” (“VimpelCom”, “Company” or “Group”) (NYSE: VIP), is unable to file its Annual Report on Form 20-F for the year ended December 31, 2013 (the “Form 20-F”) prior to the filing deadline because the Company has not finalized its assessment of the effectiveness of its internal controls over financial reporting due in part to issues arising out of the investigations by the United States Securities and Exchange Commission (“SEC”), the United States Department of Justice (“DOJ”) and the Dutch public prosecutor’s office, and internal investigations. When the Company completes that assessment, its auditor, Ernst & Young Accountants LLP, will complete its review of the Company’s assessment and complete its related audit procedures.
