Kyivstar scoops ‘Company of the Year’ award

Kyivstar has been recognised for expanding 4G coverage and other investments in Ukraine by being named ‘Company of the Year’ at the Telecom Ukraine 2020 awards ceremony recently.

The Telecom Ukraine awards competition is the largest of its type in the country, and recognises excellence in telecommunications, media and content, bringing together specialist associations, public organisations, representatives of national regulators and authorities and domestic and foreign enterprises.

In the past year Kyivstar has doubled its 4G coverage in Ukraine, investing more than eight billion Ukrainian hryvnia to extend 4G coverage to 15, 000 settlements.

Kyivstar’s Corporate Social Responsibility programme was also recognised by judges, who noted the company’s Smartphone for Parents initiative that helps older people integrate into modern life by offering practical lessons about the internet for older people
