VimpelCom wins ‘Best Consumer Service Innovation Award’

Amsterdam (May 14, 2015), VimpelCom Ltd. The Digital HUB was developed in collaboration with Opera Software and AT-Consulting and was heralded as a leading mobile innovation by Global Telecoms Business (GTB) at an award ceremony in London last night.

VimpelCom’s Digital HUB offers internet partners a cost-effective and agile way to connect cloud-based smartphone apps and mobile internet services with VimpelCom’s mobile networks worldwide, bringing an enhanced mobile internet experience to its customers, up to 218 million customers.

Every two seconds Digital HUB enables its customers in Italy and Russia to purchase smartphone apps with their mobile account. In Pakistan, for example it can provide customers with a 1 day mobile internet pass when they click to view a partner’s advertisement.

For partners, VimpelCom’s Digital HUB brings completely new models for distribution, marketing, revenue sharing or mobile-advertising sponsored internet. It allows internet partners to better combine assets to grow their businesses. In addition, no mobile network upgrades or fundamental changes in the APIs used are needed which means faster time to market for new services.
