Kaan Terzioglu is the Chief Executive Officer and a Board Member of VEON Group, the largest Nasdaq-listed company with a Dubai headquarters. In 5 markets that are home to 528 million people - Pakistan, Ukraine, Bangladesh, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan - VEON Group serves more than 150 million customers on its mobile and fixed networks, and more than 140 million users across its digital services.
Terzioglu is also a Board Member of the GSMA, the mobile industry's global organization, and the Chair of the GSMA Foundation. In 2019, Mr. Terzioglu received GSMA’s “Outstanding Contribution to the Industry” award for his leadership in defining a digital transformation model for the telecoms industry, and for his contributions to socially responsible business.
Between June 2019 and March 2024, Terzioglu served as a member of Digicel Group Board of Directors.
Prior to joining VEON in 2019, Terzioglu was the CEO of Turkcell Group from 2015 to 2019. Before that, Mr. Terzioglu was a board member at Turkey’s leading banking, retail, technology and pharmaceutical companies from 2012 to 2015. He held regional and global leadership roles in management consulting, technology and telecommunications with Arthur Andersen from 1990 to 1999 and CISCO from 1999 to 2012 in Turkey, Belgium and the U.S.
Terzioglu holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Bogazici University and is a Certified Public Accountant (Istanbul Chamber of Certified Independent Public Accountants).
He is married to Catherine Varsami Terzioglu.
