Sebastian Rice joined VEON as Group General Counsel as of January 1, 2026. He brings over 20 years of international legal experience, having spent 24 years at Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld. During his tenure, he held a number of senior leadership positions, including Partner-in-Charge of the firm’s London and Geneva offices and Co-Head of the Corporate Practice.

Sebastian has advised clients on complex cross-border corporate matters across multiple jurisdictions and has extensive experience in corporate law and governance.
